Sourcebound uses only strictly necessary cookies — the kind that keep the Site working and secure:
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Session cookie | Keeps you signed in to your account | Ends when you log out, or after a period of inactivity |
| CSRF token | Protects forms and account actions from cross-site request forgery | Session |
| Visitor allowance cookie | Tracks your 2 free anonymous answers so we can apply the right allowance and prevent abuse | Up to 12 months |
We also run Vercel Web Analytics, which is cookieless: it doesn't set any cookie or collect information that identifies you, and can't track you across days or other websites. Because of that, it isn't a "cookie" for the purposes of this notice and doesn't need consent either.
Under the ePrivacy rules (implemented in Poland through the Telecommunications Law) and GDPR, cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service you've asked for — like staying logged in, protecting forms, or enforcing a free-usage allowance you're using — don't require consent; only non-essential cookies (advertising, cross-site tracking, most third-party analytics) do. Since we set no advertising or tracking cookies and use only a cookieless analytics tool, there is nothing here that legally requires a consent banner.
If we ever add advertising cookies, third-party tracking/retargeting pixels, or analytics that set identifying cookies, we will add a proper cookie-consent banner before those cookies are set, and update this notice to describe them, their purpose, and how to opt out.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Doing so may log you out or reset your free-answer allowance tracking. See your browser's help pages for instructions (this varies by browser and device).
